Welcome Back from Uganda, Anderson Family!

The Anderson Family - missionaries from our church who serve in Uganda - are home on furlough for this school year.

For more information about their work with New Hope Uganda, read this article written by our Youth Director Jimmy McPherson following our mission trip to visit the Andersons last summer.

Purchase for a Purpose - New Earth Works

Support God's mission by purchasing fresh vegetables, artisan bread, and gourmet coffee!

Purchase online, Pick up at the church, Support recovery & job training!

The three social enterprises of Tierra Nueva are combining resources to form a new ministry--New Earth Works. Under New Earth Works, workers in the Underground Coffee Project, New Earth Farm, and New Earth Bread will produce and deliver their products to area churches.

To the people in recovery, jail, migrant, and gang ministries, this project offers supportive employment--they are accompanied spiritually while growing in their job skills and developing positive work history. Consistent income and accompaniment are vital to lasting recovery from addiction, violence, and poverty. People who purchase vegetables, bread, and coffee will enjoy high quality food and learn more about Tierra Nueva and the people who are engaged in its enterprises

Here's how it works. If you want to order, visit www.newearthworks.org and subscribe.  Orders will be delivered to a kiosk in the lobby on scheduled Sunday mornings. To learn more, visit the website. If you're looking for a concrete way to empower people in our area, this is it!

True Vine Togo - A Visit from Henriette

Recently, Henriette Bodjolle gave a wonderful presentation on the status of True Vine Togo, a mission to orphans in West Africa.  Henriette is a member of North Creek, and she began the ministry 10 years ago with help from North Creek folks.  She spent the past year in Togo developing the mission.  She also travelled to France and Brazil to develop support for True Vine there.

One of my favorite stories she told was the team of former True Vine orphans who are leading evangelism with kids through showing the Jesus film and doing sports camps.  What a testimony to the good work God has done in the lives of some very special kids!

There's an opportunity to get involved: Henriette is putting together a sending team to support her during this next year in Togo.  Contact Pastor Kurt if you'd like to be involved.

More from Mexico

A final update from Dennis & Candie Lambert...lots to rejoice about!

Hola to All:
Dennis and I wound up our time in Ticul last night with a lovely party given by Pastor and his Team. We had great food, visits from the mayor of Ticul, the administrator of the hospital near Casa Mateo and a special treat for us a trio of gutarists. We were able to give the Team the remaining funds to finish the caretaker's casita for which they were so thankful to North Creek Pres.
Some of the other things we accomplished this week include: providing the cement for the expansion of a church in Kancab Pastored by Cevero, buying the paint and painting the front gate and fence, providing a walker to a severly disabled woman, getting medical treatment for a 12 year old girl with unexplained joint pain, plumbing and septic supplies for Casa Mateo, providing numerous back massages and exercise consults, and finally today when we returned to Merida we bought supplies for making hammocks in a small village outside of Ticul. These people will sell them and share the income with the church to satisfy the loan requirement.
We have had a restful afternoon in Merida, will spend the night and hopefully be on the plane at 7:00am tomorrow. We so look forward to being home and catching up with everyone. Thank you for all your prayers and good thoughts and especially for the supportive e-mails. It is wonderful to hear news from home when you are so far away.
ADIOS,
Candie and Dennis
